- Jim McKee, DDS
Understanding the condition of the TM joint is the beginning point for predictable restorative dentistry. Since TM disorders are occurring with a greater frequency in younger patients with increased severity, the ability to examine and diagnose the condition of the TM joint is more important today than at any time in the past. This presentation will highlight key points in understanding TM joint design and function while relating TM joint condition to occlusal therapy, orthodontic treatment, restorative dentistry, orthognathic surgery or any combination of these treatment modalities. Hopefully this information will be beneficial for your patients and your practice. Comments or questions can be posted on this blog for further discussion and learning. Thanks for your interest in this topic.
